Hello, 

My name is Michael Tuohy. I'm a 23 Year Old writer from Drogheda in Ireland. I attended college in University College Dublin and have completed a Bachelor's degree in History and Classical Studies as well as a Higher Diploma in English. I am currently in the process of completing my PME in Post-Primary Education so that I can become a teacher.  

I started writing in UCD in 2019 for my college newspaper and have been obsessed with it ever since. In August of 2020 I became the Comment Editor for that paper, the University Observer. During my time at the University Observer I won the 2020 SPARC "Best Irish Political Piece" award for an article I wrote about the Mother and Baby Homes scandal that has been taking place for over a century now here in Ireland.

After finishing with the UO I decided to take a break from writing but now I’m back and hungry to write again. I look forward to sharing my work and opinions with you and I hope you enjoy reading them. Feel free to engage with me whether you agree or not.
